Can we really not meet?

If we carry on like this, the ship will sail.

The buzz I get from building good software feels hollow unless I can see, first hand, the need for it. I’ve never met that person who without it is frustrated, unable to compete, unable to help others. Does she exist?

That buzz I get from delivering good software feels hollow unless I see it being used. How does she react when she uses it? Is it excitement, fear, disappointment, frustration, inspiration? Does it help her? Does it replace her job? Does she move on to a better one?

Have any of the lines of code I have written changed a person’s life for the better? How can I tell? The separation feels unnecessary, we are all people, can we really not meet? I’d be inspired. I’d be able to build something of value.
